Expand Your Intuition

Expand Your Intuition: A Mantra Workshop Saturday, May 12th 1:00-3:30 pm $11 or punch pass
Rx-Yoga presents another opportunity to deepen your practice of Kundalini Yoga. We have offered several mantra experiences and this is our 8th chance to dive in. Mantras train the mind. This offering will give you the opportunity to hear your intuitive voice.
Be ready for a brief Kundalini kriya, a meditation to protect the heart and then practice of the mantra meditation for 62 minutes. You may enjoy listening to the clip of the mantra recording provided on our website ahead of time and perhaps write down your positive intention.
We will chant the mantra, Ek Ong Kar Sat Gur Prasad, practicing the Indra Nittri Meditation, as given by Yogi Bhajan. This mantra, in combination with the pranic flow we will employ, has the gift of changing negative to positive. “There is one Creator of all Creation. All is a blessing of the One Creator. This realization comes from Guru’s Grace.” The mantra is said to contain the essence of the entire Siri Guru Granth Sahib and brings its energy to reside in the heart. Guru Nanak taught this mantra to one of his sons, Baba Siri Chand. It is believed to be the most powerful mantra. Yogi Bhajan referred to this mantra as the Eyes of Indra, saying that the body is a temple through which one experiences the Infinite- all knowledge and bliss flow through you.
You can be prepared for this experience by having a mostly empty stomach (it’s a good idea not to eat 1 ½ hours before we begin), and arriving with a non-spill container of water, a mat, light shawl and a light head covering. The meditation is practiced in easy pose, however it can also be practiced sitting in a chair if necessary. Covering at least the crown of the head where the solar centers reside is highly recommended to allow the energy created to be preserved and channeled. We will begin promptly at 1 pm and tea will be served following our close of the program at 3:15 pm.
Love and blessings,
Sant Kaur

Indra Nittri Meditation
EK ONG KAR SAT GUR PRASAD SAT GUR PRASAD EK ONG KAR
Translation: There is one Creator of all Creation. All is a blessing of the One Creator. This realization comes from Guru’s Grace.
Getting Ready
A longer practice takes a bit of preparation so here is what you need to know:
* We will start with tuning in, an introduction and a brief orientation.
* It is deeply encouraged that you cover your head with a white natural fiber head covering when you meditate and especially for longer meditations or chanting practices. Covering the crown of the head acts as a buffer to the sensitive glands in the head and enhances the powerful meditative energies being transformed through the crown chakra, the upper palate and the eye focus.
* You will also need to drink water during this practice, so bring you own in a non-spill container.
* You may also want to bring a shawl or sweater to cover you shoulders. Modest white or off white comfortable natural fiber clothing is the recommended attire.
*Bring your yoga mat and any props that help you to sit
* All levels of experience are welcome
