40-Day Sadhana
Yogic science teaches that it takes 40 days to create or change a habit. A 40-day commitment to a practice can provide the shift needed to develop a healthy habit or to drop a destructive habit. In yogic terms, a sadhana is a daily personal practice. It is something you do every day for your own upliftment and expansion. It is a practice of connecting to your intention in a focused and conscious way. A good way to get into the sadhana habit is to start with a 40-day practice.Doing something every day for 40 days is demanding. It is difficult. And you can do it! A 40-day practice gives you the experience of discipline the experience that you can go through life's challenges and create the change you desire. There will be days when you don't want to keep going. But as Yogi Bhajan, the Master Teacher of Kundalini Yoga, always said, "Keep up and you will be kept up!" Keep going and, at the end, you will have truly accomplished something. To support your growth and change many also find it helpful to journal during the 40 days of transformation.
Guru Ravi invites you to do something that is a gift for you and for Mother Earth. Commit to own expansion, your own self healing, your own bliss and let it spread. Help us create peace and joy one breath at a time.Start Kriya for Self Healing and the Isht Sodhana Mantra for your next 40 day practice.
This series of poses allows us to awaken, balance and strengthen the physical body. It gives us tools to help the physical body take its place as a support to experience our other 9 more subtle bodies.
When we acknowledge our power for self-healing, we accept our place as a co-creator of our life, our health, our destiny. We move out of victim mentality and in to our path as a spiritual warrior - balancing our strength and our saintliness.
Throughout this kriya, keep your eyes closed and concentrate at the 3rd eye.
You can do each pose for 1 to 3 minutes. Do each pose for the same amount of time. If you start and do the first pose for 1 minute, do all following poses for 1 minute.
Start slowly and build up the time as you develop your own flow with it. This kriya can be done in as little at 9 minutes. You can relax in between each pose or go with no breaks.
